I am a self-employed, consulting engineer. BS (Ir) in civil engineering Univ of Indonesia, graduated in 1978 and MS in Civil Engineering, Univ of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, majoring in geotechnical engineering, graduated in 1984. I am a specialist in the design of foundations for high-rise buildings and retaining structures for stabilizing deep basement excavation. Among others, I was involved in the design of the following buildings: Residence 8 @ Senopati, Pacific Place-SCBD, Ritz Carlton Hotel-Kuningan, Plaza Asia-Jl.Sudirman, Indofood Tower-Jl.Sudirman, and Pakubuwono Residence-Jl.Pakubuwono in Jakarta; Cambridge Residence, Hotel Santika, Medan Focal Point, and Hotel Adimulya in Medan; Grand Panghegar, and Hotel Hilton in Bandung; WaterPlace Residence in Surabaya.
I am a moslem and I have been a hajj since 2006. I am married with 3 children; one son and two daughters. Like father like son, my son, M. Raditya Pradana, is a Civil Enginner also, graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of the ITB. At present, he studies for Ph.D in offshore-structural engineering at the NUS, Singapore. His research is in Analytical and Experimental Study of Fatigue Cracks on Tubular Joints. The abstract of his speech on a seminar organized by CORE (Centre for Offshore Research and Engineering) and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of NUS, shown below, briefly explained the present status of his research.
My elder daughter, Cininta Dyah Paramita, is a student at the Faculty of Dentistry, of the Univ of Indonesia. Next semester, she is going to start her Final Project (Tugas Akhir). My younger daughter, Nisita Dyah Nareswari, just passed SMP, and she is going to be a new SMA student, next semester. At that time she is still 13 years old, she is 2 years younger than most student at her class.
